Finally, a Taiyou Con Journal

Taiyou Con was beautiful and nothing hurt.

Friday: Shizuo Heiwajima/Dave Strider

Saturday: Dave Strider/Applejack

Sunday: Fred Weasley

We got there Friday to help with staff duties since and I were on staff.  We helped put badges inside of their handy little plastic covers, so your badge may have been put together by us   We also helped with registration, which was actually really fun!  I was in my Shizuo cosplay, which I actually didn't like all that much :/ I don't think I'll be Shizuo again without improving it, also I lost my glasses about two hours into the con ._. Being Dave Strider was a lot more fun! (and super comfy!)
Friday night we set up for the White Out Rave, which was pretty cool!  I stayed in my Dave cosplay and wore my knit panda hat, because it's pretty damn ironic and also mostly white

Saturday was super fun!  I started out as Dave, but mostly missed the Homestuck meet up because I had to run home and grab stuff I had forgotten.  Although I did get the lol worthy-ness of my mom poking at my chest and asking where my boobs went I did meet some cool AZstuck people and get some delightfully awkward DaveKat pictures with FrozenSnow-Takami
After I changed into Applejack and went around being a pony nerd   I talked about MLP with anyone who would listen, even if they didn't care!  Then we set up for The Grand Galloping Gala: My Little Pony themed rave, which was awesome, hooves down.  I danced my cutie mark off and it was the best night ever.

Sunday and I were the Weasley twins, which everyone loved, even the people who thought we were Hikaru and Kaoru, herp derp.  We hosted our two panels, which went swimmingly!  The first one was my favorite and I'm super eager to do it again!  It was called How to be a Better Cosplayer Without Even Trying, and was easy cosplay, photo, and behavior tips to help make cosplay better.  A lot of people asked for advice and I think I really helped some people out!  Which made me feel great   Our next panel was Otaku Game Show Spectacular Forever, which was our herp derp game show, and everyone had fun with that!

All in all it was an awesome con, I love the AZ con scene so much.  I just want to hug all of you and pinch your cheeks.

I really hope I can go to Con-Nichiwa!  If I do (and this is still an if), it will be Saturday only with Sceltie, my boyfriend from here in Connecticut, and I as Junpei, Akihiko, and Mitsuru from Persona 3 respectively.

If I can't make it to Con-Ni, my next con will be Anime Boston where I'll be going as Mitsuru from Persona 3, Naoto from Persona 4, and Male!Belarus from Nyotalia!

Then my all time favorite kawaii desu waifu of a con, PCC.  I'll be bringing Fred Weasley, Dog Tier Jade Harley from Homestuck, one or both of my Persona cosplays, and possibly some form of Stocking!  I'll also most likely be entering the masquerade with my Jade cosplay!  I figured instead of entering the masquerade at a little con and getting a feel for it, I'd throw myself to the sharks and enter in one with a huge stage and lots of competition!   I don't plan on winning anything, I just want to try it out and not fall on my face!
