Phoenix Comicon 2012!

So awesome con was awesome!  Aside from catching the sandwich of course.

Not really too much that I want to say, after all the drama leading up to the con and being generally kind of unhappy with the way things were going, I have to say the con was still great!  The Youth programming department was great and the youth programming director was great, he deserves a medal because he was super helpful before and during the con and was the only programming director who actually communicated with me!  So he was great!

Other than projector issues, our panels went great!  Both Con Packing 101 and How to be a Better Cosplayer had pretty good turn outs considering how late in the day they were.  But the My Little Pony Fan Panel, oh Celestia.  There was a line, there was seriously a line to get in.  We packed the room and it was beautiful and nothing hurt.  Shine on pony fandom.

My cosplays all went well!  On Thursday and I pulled out our Weasley swag and were Fred and George again, which is always fun and we get lots of good reactions from it! I started out Saturday as Naoto Shirogane and I was pretty surprised I was the only one!  She's usually the most popular Persona 4 character!  But I thought I looked pretty good and got some nice pictures!  I'm glad I finally got to cosplay her because I've been planning this for almost a year! I changed into Mitsuru Kirijo later and met an awesome Akihiko and Ken cosplayer!  I was glad to see some Persona 3 love going around! changed into Junpei Iori and we got some shots together with her manly chest hair! On Saturday I was Rarity with my red glasses and measuring tape and I looked fabulous!  I loved seeing the other pony cosplayers!  You guys were all cuties!  On Sunday I was God Tier Jade!  The hood had given me some trouble so I didn't put the ears or buttons on it and just wore it down all the time, I wish I could have finished it, but it just gave me too much trouble!  But I got lots of derpy ectobiological sibling pictures with as my God Tier John!

Overall it was a good con and I can't wait for next year!

Next on the con agenda is Saboten Con!  Since I'll be living in Arizona again I get to go to Sabo, which is very exciting!  Right now my cosplay plans are Naoto, Mitsuru, and Rarity again, and I'm hoping to do summer uniform Rise Kujikawa!
